This Podcast Has No Name

Kind of an odd show this week with EZK and Andrew foregoing their list of topics and just discussing whatever came to mind.  While the first half hour is pretty scattershot, two major topics do emerge: Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop dice games (28:26) and a hefty political discussion with a focus on Libertarians and other political parties that are not Republicans or Democrats (46:07).  This episode may be more political than any of the shows we did under the GamePolitics banner!

If you missed Saturday’s live broadcast of the show, you can watch the video replay on YouTube or to your left. Alternatively, you can catch audio versions of the show on iTunes or download them from our good friends at KNGI.

The show, whatever we eventually call it, will stream live at 6p PST every Saturday night right here on RandomTower!

Credits: The Super Podcast Action Committee is hosted by E. Zachary Knight and Andrew Eisen. The show is edited by Andrew Eisen. Music in the show includes “Albino” by Brian Boyko. It is in the public domain and free to use.

Hearing what EZK said about the Commission on Presidential Debates, it really sounds like they should be investigated for anti-competitive practices. A non-compete clause like that basically results in them maintaining a monopoly on the debates.

Oh, it really is. The Commission adopted the poll rule after Ross Perot tanked the election for Bush. They did not want to see a repeat of that. Had Nader been in any debates in 2000, I have no doubts that Bush Jr still would have won, but it would have been at a far larger margin.

Could you guys get away with Games & Politics as the podcast name? I missed the bit where you mentioned why you couldn’t use the old name anymore :3 but with the topic of this discussion, the words “games” and “politics” are extremely descriptive.

We probably could but we have an idea for a show title that we think encapsulates what we’re trying to do (and isn’t already in use by anyone else). Hopefully all our viewers think it’s a nifty name too!
