Gamers Raise Over $8 Million for CMN Hospitals

Every year, the Extra-Life charity event tasks gamers with a 24-hour video game marathon to raise money for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  This year, participating gamers raised (as of this writing) $8,338,500!

I live in San Diego so I was playing for the Rady Children’s Hospital.  With the help of a bunch of super generous people, I raised $825 this year which is by far the most I’ve raised for Rady Children’s in a single year!Thank you so much to everyone who donated and kept me company during the marathon.  Of course, I wasn’t the only one playing for Rady Children’s.  All told, we raised over $37,000 for the hospital!

As for the marathon itself, I had a ton of fun!  My sister, Keleigh, joined me for the event and we had fun with a bunch of silly stretch goals such as me wearing a unicorn onesie for the entire stream, blindfolding myself with my own underwear while my sister guides me through a surgery (watch that video above), and serenading my viewers in the wee small hours of the morning while I was exhausted and my voice was starting to go!

I’m working on uploading the entire event to my YouTube channel in hour-long chunks.  The first part can be viewed here.

Once again, thanks to everyone who makes these awesome events possible!
